Your birth plan, your setting
Water and gentle birth hospital partners
For families who prefer or medically need a hospital setting, we coordinate water and gentle birth options with Cornell Medical Center, St Vincent Hospital, and TriCity Medical Center, in addition to care at Marikina Maternity Clinic & Lying-In.
Cornell Medical Center
Hospital birth-plan coordination with the MMCLI prenatal team.
St Vincent Hospital
Water and gentle birth options based on medical assessment and availability.
TriCity Medical Center
Referral support and continuity from prenatal planning through delivery.
Every birth plan starts with a clinical assessment. Facility availability, hospital policies, and the safety of mother and baby determine the final delivery setting.
Is a birthing center right for me?
Best for healthy, low-risk pregnancies.
A lying-in gives you a calmer, more personal birth than a large hospital, at a fraction of the cost. It suits most healthy pregnancies without complications.
During your prenatal visits we'll monitor you carefully. If anything suggests you'd be safer delivering in a hospital, we'll tell you early and help arrange the referral — never at the last minute.
We'll always be honest with you. Your safety and your baby's come before keeping you as a patient. If you need a hospital, we'll say so.

A little tool for you
When is my baby due?
Enter the first day of your last menstrual period and we'll work out your estimated due date, how far along you are, and when your prenatal visits should fall.
This is an estimate using the standard 280-day calculation. Your midwife will confirm it — and adjust it if your ultrasound says otherwise.
Nothing is saved. This calculates in your browser. We don't record your dates or see what you enter.
Your prenatal journey
What happens, and when
First visit — as soon as you know
We confirm your pregnancy, compute your due date, take your history, and run baseline labs. Bring your PhilHealth details if you have them.
Monthly visits — until 28 weeks
Weight, blood pressure, fundal height, and baby's heartbeat. We'll answer every question, however small it feels.
Every two weeks — 28 to 36 weeks
Closer monitoring as your due date approaches. This is when we finalize your birth plan together.
Weekly — 36 weeks to delivery
We check your baby's position and readiness, and walk you through exactly what to do when labor starts.
Your birth day
Call us any hour. Your partner or companion may stay with you throughout. We keep the room quiet and unhurried.
After — we're still here
Postpartum follow-up, breastfeeding support, and your baby's first check-ups at the Care Center next door.
PhilHealth & payment
Your benefit, applied directly.
We're a PhilHealth-accredited facility, so your Maternity Care Package benefit is deducted from your bill here. You don't pay in full and wait for reimbursement.
Bring your PhilHealth ID or MDR at your first prenatal visit and we'll check your eligibility for you. If your contributions are short, we'll tell you early so there's time to fix it.
What to bring to your first visit
- Any valid ID
- PhilHealth ID or MDR
- Previous prenatal or ultrasound records, if any
- List of medicines you're taking
- Your questions — write them down, you'll forget otherwise
Common questions
Things mothers ask us
Can my husband or mother stay with me?
Yes. One companion may stay with you throughout labor and delivery. We think it helps, and we'd rather you weren't alone.
What if something goes wrong during delivery?
We're trained and equipped for normal deliveries and common complications. For anything beyond that, we have a referral arrangement with a nearby hospital and will transfer you promptly. This is exactly why we monitor you closely during prenatal visits — so surprises are rare.
Do you accept walk-in deliveries?
We'll never turn away a mother in active labor. But if we haven't seen you during your pregnancy, we won't know your history — which makes your care less safe. Please come for prenatal check-ups even if you plan to deliver elsewhere.
How much will I actually pay after PhilHealth?
It depends on your package and your PhilHealth eligibility. Come in and we'll compute your exact out-of-pocket cost before you commit to anything.
Can I have a C-section here?
No — a lying-in is not equipped for surgical delivery. If your pregnancy indicates a C-section, we'll refer you to a hospital and help you prepare.
